@Deepanshu Natani This solution doesn’t seem to work when adding an attachment to a comment. Is there a solution to remove an attachment from a comment in the attachment window, one has to go to comment to delete it. This was possible in the earlier “old view”.

Deepamshu and Cody have the answer. You can easily delete attachments from the UI. If you can’t see the functionality, it might be a permission issue and you need to talk to your admin. Attachments should be deleted on issues/stories, not just the items you created. Things change and ownership/responsibility changes, so you need to have access to anything you’re working on.
This is a technique to streamline, instead of lots of static attachments, you can always provide a link to an updated working document (google doc, confluence, etc.). This makes it much easier and easier to manage the requirements.

All you have to do is hover over the attachment. If you are in the old edition view, it will have a trash can in the lower right corner. If you are in the new issue view, it will be an X in the lower right corner.
If that option isn’t there, it means you don’t have the appropriate permissions to delete attachments. If you are a Jira administrator, you can edit the permission scheme to ensure it is set correctly. Otherwise, you must contact an administrator to either delete the attachments or give your permission.
I have the same problem. I’m a Jira admin and when I browse I can’t see the delete button on the attachment. I also checked the permission scheme which says that the Attachments (delete all) option is set for the project admin role. I added myself to the project admin role but still can’t see the remove option.

@Srikanth Mamidalathere is definitely a bug involving attachments and new issue view. Add?oldIssueView=true in the address bar and you can perform the requested action.
Can confirm there is an error, adding `&oldIssueView=true` to the URL fixed my problem and I was able to delete the attachment. Thank you @Krzysztof Tomicz
Same problem. The trash can icon is no longer available. Now selecting Attachment displays a list of everything in the file, in this case inside a zip file.
