Template Zero Hours Contract. Workers must give you two weeks’ notice if they want to leave and you will attempt to give them one weeks’ notice. This document should not be used where the agreement for work is on a zero hours basis (a zero hours contract must be created in a different format, through a casual worker agreement) or where the employee shall only be appointed on a limited, fixed term.

This means you can terminate a worker’s zero hours contract without notice—and they can leave without any warning. The zero hours contract template therefore includes a clause on termination. An agreement with a worker may specify that a worker has the right to reject offers of work , whereas an employee will always have fixed hours of work which they must undertake.
